A Therapeutic Day Out with Sea Jellies, Coral Reefs and more at S.E.A. Aquarium TeREEFic World

Let's Go Out! / Thursday, April 16th, 2015

Life has been a little faster paced for me and I needed some time alone to just chill and reflect. Since entering Sentosa is “free” for me now with my own Sentosa Islander card and with an early morning meeting ending near Vivo City, I took the chance to visit an indoor air-conditioned place at Resort World Sentosa – I checked out TeREEFic World at S.E.A. Aquarium. And boy did I enjoy the peaceful tranquility within the beautiful aquarium.

Every few months, S.E.A. Aquarium refreshes their activities and feature to highlight and educate us about the many wonders of the big ocean reef. And for the first quarter of this year, the theme is TeREEFic World. Discover how hypnotic sea jellies move and other amazing facts at TeREEFic World and seek out their lesser-known secrets in the fascinating programmes and activities planned. Below are some of these activities I checked out while I was relaxing and enjoying the cool surrounding at S.E.A. Aquarium.

Sea Jellies From “Babies” to “Adults”

For the first time, their back-of-house sea jellies nursery is presented at the gallery. Now you can observe their life cycle up close, from tiny polyps to free-swimming euphyrae to full-sized medusa. See them at the Ocean Gallery, 3rd Tier.

Activities For The Little Ones

Spark kids’ curiosity and creativity with interactive games and crafts like colouring sheets and origami, so they learn as they play at the Ocean Gallery, 2nd Tier.

Aquarist Talks

What is it like to look after more than 100,000 marine animals at S.E.A. Aquarium? Hear it from their aquarists who will be revealing what it is like to look after such a diverse collection of marine life. The talk is on daily at 2.30pm at the Ocean Dome.

Other beautiful things spotted at S.E.A. Aquarium

TeREEFic World is on till 31 May at S.E.A. Aquarium, Resort World Sentosa. Go check it out if you want some relaxing therapy like what I had. More details here.
