Three years ago, this little baby popped out of me after more than 20 hours of wait.
And now she’s 3! Growing up to become a very fine lady, ever so shy and gentle (except times when she’s lacking in sleep).
Her first celebration this year was with her sister’s 1st birthday gathering at home with family. Having two girls slightly two weeks apart, it’s going to be a lifelong journey of busy end-Aug to early-Sep celebration for us. And not forgetting the 10 years of school where Teacher’s Day means busy-mummy-day that happens in between the two birthdays! #notcomplaining
Last Friday, she also had a mini celebration with her friends at Playgroup. Though almost half of the class weren’t around that day, she still had a great one, sharing joy and gifts with her first group of friends.
After the cake cutting and eating, one of her classmate asked excitedly “Ayra got goodie bag?”. Looks like kids are all too used to getting gifts from the birthday friend in class. So of course, we did the same. The preparation started few months earlier where I bought the coloring book and color pencils from Pengang, and the packing took place together with help from Ayra few nights before.
Ayra helped stick washi tapes on the snack bags
Mummy wrote some words on the bags
Besides the packs of snacks we stuffed in the bag…
Some packs came with green frogs too! Or random party flavours.
Everything then packed together in transparent bags
I think the biggest goodie bag so far in her class! It couldn’t even fit into their school bags. But I do hope the kids and their parents would like the bag. I included only items I would allow my kids to eat and use in gift for friends. No sweets, no small erasers (why would 3 years old need erasers?) and no weird gluey thing that attract dusts.
Happy Birthday Ayra!
Grow well and hope your courage increases over the years. Never let your curiosity and get-go attitude stop.
Love you. Mummy.
