Vansh is one of our favorite, once-a-bluemoon-visit kind of restaurant during our dating years. We been there at least 4 times before we got married and we revisited it again for our 2nd ROM anniversary on 19 March 2013.
That night was also the one-night-only concert by Journey and the dining places at Kallang Stadium Waterfront were packed till late 7pm. Silly us should have made a reservation before that, instead we waited (with very hungry tummy) for an hour to get ourselves seated inside Vansh.
And all this wait was for this…
The best papadum in my opinion. And these are free flow! And we only knew about it now so we had two servings of this crunchy and flavorful papadums this time.
Expect only the most exquisite and authentic Indian fare at Vansh. Their food are influenced by northern, southern and coastal regions of India. If you want a flavorful Indian meal, this is one place you can go.
These fried spicy potato cubes were our best order that night. Every bite filled with good punch and flavors.
The usual meat that one doesn’t miss at an Indian meal. I find them a little dry that night. Perhaps because the curry was too good and overpowered these meat.
The curry chicken that we cleared in no time. Thick and flavorful curry with well marinated chicken chunks. Great with the naan and rice.
The servings above was more than enough for 2 pax (+1 inside me). We struggled to finish up the meat but still managed to clear all the plates eventually. This is one of the very rare food escapade we enjoy together. I hope by starting this category in this blog will push me to want to push him to have new meals more often. At least once a month I hope.
