Finally I can believe to have good fortune for the new year come 4 Feb, Sunday on this special day call Li Chun! Because… PAYLAH!
Having used Paylah for payment at hawker centres, splitting of bills amongst friends and gifting eAng Bao to my love ones on their birthdays, this year I’m also going to use Paylah! to make a deposit into my bank account come 4 Feb 2018 at 9am SHARP!
Because I ALWAYS (I mean EVERY SINGLE YEAR!) miss my auspicious hour on that one (important) auspicious day that everyone is queueing up at cash deposit machine or bank to deposit money for a lucky year ahead.
For those who are as clueless as me, Li Chun takes place once a year around the time of our Lunar New Year celebration.
Li Chun traditionally signifies the beginning of spring in East Asian cultures. Chinese New Year is celebrated around this time. Farmers often celebrate the beginning of Li Chun with special village events, worship and offerings to the gods and ceremonies for a blissful and prosperous new year.
In Singapore, there is a practice of depositing money into bank accounts on Lichun which many believe will bring them good fortune. – Wikipedia
Some also believe that Li Chun is the day where one can stand a raw egg more easily than any other day, which I kinda did in 2017…
Save time, save energy and you may even stand a chance to win an extra $88 when you Paylah to Huat ah this Li Chun! My girlfriends were super excited when I shared this good news to them! We’ll be doing our Paylah! transfer on 4 Feb to our DBS/POSB account and hopefully we’ll all win the bonus $88!
